Welcome to our recently-renovated old Coach House, between Raglan and Monmouth, on the Welsh border. Carefully crafted, with attention to detail and situated in beautiful rolling countryside, surrounded by woodlands, The Coach House offers restorative wellbeing retreats, ideal for the solo traveller or up to 4 guests. Downstairs is an open plan living space, with room to breathe, stretch and move about freely in. Uncluttered and quiet, contemporary in feel, the Coach House is a space that feels restful on the senses. Light and airy, in the summer months, with the French windows thrown open, on to a patio and garden, with paddock and woodland beyond. Cosy in the winter months, with generous radiators and under-floor heating. There is a modern, fully fitted kitchen. Upstairs are two gorgeous, bespoke bedrooms, with en-suite bathrooms, one with a bath and the other with a walk in shower. One bedroom is a double and the other room can be made up as a king-size double or two single beds. A cot can also be provided for a family.
The Coach House is situated between Raglan and Monmouth, the Black Mountains National Park, with stunning mountain walks, just a twenty minute drive away and the Wye Valley (15 minutes in the opposite direction). It is a 2½ hour drive from London, 45 minutes from Bristol and Cardiff and 1 hour to Birmingham; a place of wild, Welsh beauty, incredibly accessible for a mini-break. The nearest train stations are Newport and Abergavenny. We can also offer a private cab service, if you need to be collected from a train station, city or airport..
The Coach House is self-catering but includes a Breakfast Hamper, which will be left in your fridge / kitchen. Please let us know if you have any dietary requirements, so that we can do our best to meet them. Below is an example of the kind of things we might leave in your fridge. If you are vegetarian, gluten free or dairy free, we will take that into consideration and design your breakfast hamper accordingly.
Artisan Bread by Dough and Daughters, Jams, Nut Butters, Yoghurt (dairy) or Coconut Yoghurt (non-dairy), dairy Milk, Almond Milk or Soya Milk, Granola / Cereal (with gluten-free options), Berries / Fruit, Field Mushrooms (vegan), Avocados (vegan) Organic Tomatoes (vegan), Smoked Salmon, Local Eggs, Ham or Bacon, Coffee and Tea. A juicing machine is available for making fresh homemade juices.
